Need my meds but switched health insurances- can my old doc prescribe me meds and I pay out of pocket?

I cannot figure out health insurance for the life of me, so forgive me if I sound completely idiotic.

Due to drowning in grad school I have neglected the legitimate highest priority of figuring out the health insurance issues I've been having since I got kicked off my parents in Feb when I turned 26.

Long story short: Had BCBS. Kicked off. Got MassHealth. Enrolled in the MGB ACO plan as from what I understood at the time, I would be able to stay with my same providers + wide access to care. I was wrong: could not stay with my providers and could not/cannot find a PCP or endocrinologist to take me sooner than 1 year local or not.

I am about to run out of my meds. They are not life-threatening but without them my symptoms are nearly completely intolerable. My question is, can my previous providers prescribe me meds I could pay out of pocket for? How much would that be if so? I keep reading different things online and no one I know IRL can answer me. Thanks in advance (yes I will have to enroll in a different MassHealth plan)
