Need Help with medical costs (UT).

Sorry it's long, but I'm a very desperate and very stressed father. Hello, I'm about to have a son that will be born with myelomeningocele, my wife is barely out of the hospital after under going the in utero repair. My insurance currently is 5g max out of pocket per person (and will increase it's Max allowable rate per year.) But with the whole mess of the last 3 weeks, I'm currently paying more for my wife since certain required procedures and meds we're are not seen as "necessary" to my insurance and now scares for this childs future medical costs. Looking to see if any parents can acknowledge that I should expect to pay my max out of pocket every year, or if it slows down? I'm heavily considering to hire legal help to get this child on chip since it will literally be more than half the costs of my work insurance out of pocket. I'm only worried about the max out of pocket my family premium will remain the same. I DO NOT qualify for any other benefits. I can't even save enough a year with the total costs of my max out of pocket.I have a decent savings, but Im expecting to lose 33% from the in utero surgery and NON "necessary stuff". The legal help can help with an exception in the law of CHIP.
