Need health insurance help! Illinois

Hi! I am 20 years old and I do not have health insurance. I’m having a really hard time navigating this and I can use any help I can get. Unfortunately, I am not covered under my parents because my dad doesn’t have health insurance and my mom is under medicaid. I was under medicaid until I lost it in the beginning of the year.

I had no insurance until I had insurance through work. They kept me for 2 weeks… I don’t really know what happened but I don’t work enough hours and I shouldn’t even had it in the first place. This ended July 1st or mid July. (not really sure)

Now I am in desperate need of coverage because I start nursing school in the fall, and I need it for clinicals. I applied to medicaid like a week ago, but I am stressing they will deny me and I won’t have insurance on time (Oct. 1st). I need any guidance I can get. Thank you in advance!!

EDIT: I already applied through healthcare.gov and it said “you may be eligible for medicaid”. No special enrollment or anything else.
