Need health insurance advice for my cousin who has ESLD

Hello all,

My cousin is 33 years old, I am 29 and live in zip code 20111 and my income is $153,000. I am related to my cousin by blood, he is my mom's nephew. i just learned today that he has End Stage Liver Disease and I believe the articles I read stated that, with the symptoms he is having, he has between 90-150 days to live. He hid liver problems from the family for a long time now because of his embarrassment and didn't want folks to worry. He has no health insurance, he is unemployed and has been for a long time, making very low income to just get by, by doing odds and ends mechanic work. He has made alot of bad choices in his life but now that his days are numbered and he knows this, he has many regrets, the biggest one was wasting his time and not spending it with family.

I believe his only options of extending his life for any significant amount of time is a liver transplant but of course thats hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of medical treatment.

I am wondering what are my options for helping him out, I don't know much about health insurance. I don't think he would be qualified to be a dependent because of his age and he doesn't have any disabilities that I'm aware of.

I have health insurance for my wife (who is expecting, 1st child) and I, through my company and the provider is Cigna, and I have open access plan.

I don't want to lose him and I want more time with him on this earth. Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated, thank you for taking the time to read this post
