Need a 2 year old dental crown replaced. Do I have to disclose my secondary plan (that paid for the crown when they were primary)?

Apologies if this is convoluted. I'm aware that I can call and ask about coverage, but I dont want to apprise my new insurance of my secondary just yet.

I got a crown done (tooth #15) by my old dentist about 2 years ago on my then sole dental policy "UC" through my spouse's employer.

This year I acquired a new dental policy with my own employer. New policy, "D" is now my primary. This new policy has 0 history of my current dental condition.

I need a crown on the tooth (#16) behind the presently crowned tooth which policy "D" (now primary) will cover.

However, my new dentist found that the crown my previous dentist made has major issues and is going to cause problems with stuck food and getting a proper fit for the new crown. When #14 inevitably needs work it will interfere and be problematic there as well.

She recommended replacing the existing 2 year old crown at the same time as installing my new one so a proper healthy fit is made.

My issue is: usually insurance will not cover re crowning at 2 years.

"D", the new primary, currently has no record of the age of the crown to be replaced. Dentist is willing to submit it as an older installment.

Am I obligated to apprise my new dentist of my secondary insurance, "UC", that paid for the crown when they were my sole coverage?

If I don't report my secondary insurance, will my new primary insurance be able to find out and reverse the payment?

If I do apprise my dentist of my secondary insurance, will the secondary insurance inform the new primary insurance that it's a recently done crown thus new primary won't pay?

I'd just drop the secondary policy, it's a complicated situation.
