My father refuses to remove me from his insurance

My dad and mom divorced over a decade ago, and part of the divorce proceedings was that he would have to provide insurance to me and my sister until we turn 18. I was using metro plus health insurance beforehand, and it was fine since it was in my own state and covered everything so i saw no reason to switch out of it. Recently however he got a job at a university in another state and got new insurance, bcbs. He put my name under this insurance and it terminated my previous one. This insurance doesn't cover anything for me, i need to pay way more for doctors visits and copays are way higher.

I tried to get my old insurance back but they said I need to get my current insurance terminated first. When I contacted bcbs, they would give conflicting responses since I called multiple times. Some told me I should contact the employer, or others will outright say I can’t remove myself since only the account holder can. I tried contacting his employer and they said the same thing.

So despite my misgivings I had to contact my psycotic dad after over a decade. And long story short, he refuses to remove me from his insurance because that’s what got me to contact him. And when I make it clear I hate him he then said that he’s gonna keep it out of malice then. So I am stuck with this insurance and the only way out would be my dad who won’t take me out, out of malice.

How would I get out of this situation?
