missed open enrollment at new job, might not be eligible for parents insurance

I'm 23 and graduated college this past December. no one has ever really taught me about how health insurance works and I just realized I probably screwed up by missing the open enrollment period at my new job. I started my first full time job with benefits at the end of April, and at the time I figured I could stay on my parents insurance for a little bit longer for some reason, and then I honestly just forgot about it. I was looking into it today and realized that since I missed the open enrollment in the first month of being hired I have no way to enroll in insurance. I completely blame myself for not paying more attention, but I also honestly think the document I was sent about benefits when I was hired didn't make it clear what the open enrollment period meant and I truly only had a month to enroll . I was thinking at least I'm still on my parents plan because the limit in Ohio is 26, but then I found out it's until 26 or until you get a job that offers health insurance, so I'm assuming I'll be kicked off the plan soon.

Do I have any options outside of waiting for next year's enrollment period or getting a new job? It's been 2 and a half months since I got the job, will my parents insurance actually kick me off at some point if they find out somehow I have a job with benefits? I don't have any health issues or go to the doctor very often so I feel like I might be fine for the rest of the year, but the thing I'm worried about is dental insurance.
