Medicare won’t cover Trans top surgery (breast augmentation) but Medicaid will?

As Dental suggest I’m looking to get a boob job I got one last year thinking that it was covered by Medicare.

Medicare however does not cover but they do not tell the provider nor do they tell the patient whether or not it’s covered until after you get it.

Last year when I got it done Medicare did not pay and I don’t think Medicaid paid either because Medicare didn’t pay and therefore the hospital had to take it as a loss.

I am trans and they told me i couldn’t get size i wanted at the start and that i should need two surgeries fir that one last year and one this year as a revision which my surgeon said they would cover and do whatever they took to get it covered.

However the surgeon didn’t know if Medicare would cover it , nor did i. I did however i know tho Medicaid of Montana would .

That said hoever because Medicare wouldn’t pay Medicaid didn’t pay either the hospital had to count it as a loss and I had to pay nothing all because they couldn’t find out till after the surgery was done if Medicare would pay for my surgery.

so my question is how do I fundraise to afford this fir boob job that I desperately need and want without losing my SSI or SSID or my Medicaid or my low income housing?

If I can’t do anything can you tell me why the system is so broken.
