Hi, I recently moved to the US (CA) and just got a GC.

Now when the Open Enrollment is still open, I have two questions regarding my need to apply:

If I moved just a month ago and still working remotely for a European employer, how do I give the information of my income? I am getting around $300 a week which obviously is much less than USA minimum salary, and knowing November was the month I moved to the US what is my "annual income" – the income from the date of coming to the US or from January, 1st? Another, off-topic question that I'll be happy if you guys can answer – do I have to file a tax return in this case, and if so, when and for what period? Is it considered as a qualifying event to buy health insurance later after the Open Enrollment is over (specifically in California if matters)? What people do if they buy a medical insurance on their own and then their US based employer starts being able to provide it to them? Should they cancel their previous plan and pay a cancellation fee? Asking how these cases works in regular cases. If I want to buy health insurance after the Open Enrollment is over, what qualifying event you would recommend me – to show that I only came in November, or to show that my annual income for 2022 was less than $20k? submitted by /u/RZDXT
