Medical Bill that Insurance Compny Told Me Not To Pay Was Sent to Collections?

Hello, I’m hoping someone can help me with next steps.

I started recovering a medical bill for $350 from a hospital I received services from in December 2023. My insurance EOB said that I owed nothing for this visit and when I called them with the bill they told me that this was likely a balance bill and not to pay it. That they would reach out to the hospital. I have been calling the hospital and insurance company monthly everytime I received this bill. The hospital says it’s from a partially denied claim and they will resubmit it. The insurance company tells me not to pay it. Today I received a letter from a collections company about this bill. I’ve already called me insurance company again to let them know and asked to be escalated to a supervisor. They said they’ll get back to me within 48 hours.

What do I do now? Is there any outside agency I should be complaining to in order to get this fixed? I’m tired of spending hours on the phone monthly for nothing to get resolved and frustrated that this bill was sent to collections.

Hospital is in network and the insurance is through work.
