Medicaid wasn’t canceled and I have an HSA

Thanks in advance for your help! Long story short, I had Medicaid at the beginning of my pregnancy (12/2022-ish). I got a job and benefits started. (2/2023-ish) I logged into the Medicaid portal and followed the prompts to close my case (navigating the site is torture and just wanted to terminate everything), and went on with my chaotic life. I’ve been enrolled in my employer HDHP and contributing to my HSA since then thinking Medicaid was canceled. I got email that there were notices and tried to log in to review them in the portal but I can’t ever get in with my log in details, and when I finally do get in after resetting multiple times, theres no option to submit changes. Anyways its been nagging me and i finally spent an hour and a half getting back in, and the medicaid is still active, with renewal due this month. I haven't used the benefits and have been paying my deductible expenses from my HSA. Now Im scared I'll be subjected to some kind of penalties for being enrolled in both. Am I better off reporting my change retroactively or going through the renewal process with my current information? I dont think with my current income I would have even been eligible and would be perfectly happy with them terminating Medicaid retroactive to my employment. Does anyone know how this would be handled? What penalties can I expect? (Long story wasn’t so short, sorry)
