Medicaid- Special Needs Child-2 States

Our situation is complicated, the short is needing coverage for our son in 2 states…. Here are all of the details-

Special Needs child lives in MT for the school year. The parents have equal time & equal rights. There is a court order dictating that the child’s specialty care is to take place in Ohio. Mother has Medicaid in Montana, but is moving to Ohio next month, and switching to Medicaid there. Mother is going to add child to Medicaid in Ohio. Child will be in Ohio for 6 weeks and will be receiving treatment there (every year). Neither parent has insurance available through employment. Can the father add the child to his Medicaid once the child is back in Montana? Our parenting plan states we are both to ensure our child is medically insured and the mother is to make the appointments in Ohio…but the other professionals such as pediatrician and therapist and other providers are in Montana.
