Medi-cal, When does it end – I got a new job

Hello, I cannot find any information on what to do here.

I am on California Medical insurance as I did not have a job for a few months and my Covered California plan automatically kicked me onto Medical a few months ago.

Now that I have a new job I have submitted my new earnings and pay checks to CoveredCa and Cal Benefits but have not heard anything back in a couple of months. I have tried calling the healthcare contacts that were listed and am never able to reach anybody.

It seems my Medical is still active with Kaiser but I’m worried that if something happened it will be negated or I might have to pay money back later. I’m fine going back into Covered California healthcare marketplace but I have not been directed to do so.

I feel I have done everything requested when I got a new job and change of income – notified online twice, uploaded documents and changed earnings forecasts and have tried to call the centers multiple times and been on hold for hours.

Does Medical just last the entire year once you are enrolled – even once you get a new job?

I think I remember when I did get accepted months ago, one of the case workers mentioned that I needed to notify them ASAP when I got a new job. I did so and nothing changed and I have not heard anything from them. Usually they have notified me with next steps or what to do next. I expected to be notified that I will be getting kicked off of Medical and have a certain window to find healthcare insurance and change my plan; but I’ve heard nothing.

I work in hospitality so only private health insurance via covered california

Any advice?
