Medi-Cal + Employer Insurance Question

I've been a part-time employee for a while and have met the Medi-Cal income levels. My primary is through Medi-Cal and have been doing things like sleep studies etc.
Recently my employer was able to provide me covered health benefits at no change to my income. I enrolled since it was a nice PPO plan and appointments/scheduling through Medi-Cal takes 6-8 months to move which is extremely frustrating.
I've never been in a situation like this before. I'm halfway through the process of a sleep study process with my Medi-Cal and appreciate the coverage it provides me financially, but I'd like to take advantage of the flexibility of my new PPO plan.
Is there official action I need to take to notify the respective insurance plans? Can i continue to use my plans independently (i.e. complete my sleep study workup with Medi-Cal and then use my PPO for something else in the future?)
Very new to the having health insurance world and my situation is a little unique so any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!
