Medi-Cal Covered California Applying: don’t know how to determine income dependency on parents, how would I know if I’m listed as dependent on their taxes or not? If I give the wrong information, what happens???

I talked to Medi-Cal about this. Apparently, I got my Medi-Cal cancelled by my parents because I was under their application or something and when they got cancelled, I got cancelled. Or something happened, it's not clear. They don't know and want me to re-apply so they can figure it out.

I talked to a social service worker and they told me to just apply for Medi-Cal and they will figure it all out.

However, on the application there is a section about "Household Information," and I don't know if I'm listed as dependent or not. I am over 26, for sure.

My parents don't even remember and don't know how to find out.

Do I just apply as household of 1?

Also, this year I made over 9K by the end of March 2024 but then lost the income so now I have no to very little income past few months. I live with the parents and applying for jobs again.

Do I apply for Medi-Cal during this time and under household of 1 then and they figure it out? I'm not sure if I give the wrong information, what happens?
