Medi cal and county

Hi! This may be a dumb question but I can NEVER get ahold of my county or medi cal. I’m in California, contra costa county in the Bay Area and I’m currently with blue anthem which I hate, and also which is apparently not going to be with my county anymore starting 2024 which literally leaves me with one option. Contra costa county health plan which really isn’t the best either at all… so I’ve heard so I could be wrong.

Kaiser is available but only for prior Kaiser members which I’m not 😭

Basically the question: Am I able to at all join coverage in another county next to mine?? My old doctor who I LOVED only takes medi cal though SF health plan ( another county) which I’ve also heard is great. I do currently attend school in SF so idk if that would help..

But really any advice would be great. I haven’t been able to find any good and reliable doctors as well as therapists and Psychiatrist which I need and it’s just taking a toll on my everyday :/
