Make too much monthly for medicaid, too little annually for premium tax credit– about to lose Medicaid

Located in Arkansas. I posted about my husband losing coverage a few days ago, but now I am likely losing coverage at the end of this month. I'm pregnant, I can not just go uninsured like he can. I need coverage for the rest of the 2024.

Before I lose coverage, I want to apply for marketplace insurance. I'll wait until I have a letter from the state, but last month they only gave us a few days of warning, so I want to be ready. We make too much monthly to qualify for medicaid. (The monthly limit for me is $4604). We didn't work at all this year until September, and if we estimate our annual income for 2024, it's right around $21,000. We don't both qualify for a tax credit unless I estimate our income at $60,000.

If I get a bronze plan just to cover until the end of the year it's $300 a month just for my premium. I have Drs visits every couple of weeks. Based on the estimates it gives me, I'll pay another $300 a month just for that.

That means after it's all paid for, we would have more money if I quit my job and stayed on Medicaid. I obviously don't want to do that. I thought expanded medicaid was supposed to fix these problems.

How do I avoid this?? Is there any way to get the tax credit for this year, if I don't qualify for medicaid anymore??
