MA: Next steps after filling out a healthconnector application?

Hi all,

My father recently retired and as such my mother cannot use the health insurance provided by his company anymore. We are trying to find health insurance for her in order to get her covered for the various treatments she needs for things such as diabetes, cataracts, and rehab for a foot injury. We found an insurance company called FirstMed(? the insurance card isn't very helpful in figuring out her plan), but I figured I was totally out of my depth when they refused to cover any of her treatments and I have no idea what to do. I filled out an application on Healthconnector with her, but we are hoping to try and get her some coverage sooner in order to take care of her. Should I just wait for someone to get back to me? Where do I go from here? How would I go about finding out how to organize all her doctors to find what network they are in? Would I even need to know that?
