Kaiser Platinum 90 HMO currently. Thinking of going to Gold 80 HMO. I have psychiatry visits and am trying to understand what the pay difference would be because what I am supposed to pay currently for psych(15/visit) is actually 0. I’m so confused.
I am in California and have Kaiser Platinum 90 HMO through covered California that I purchased. if I’m understanding it right, “Mental/Behavioral Health Outpatient Services” would be my visits with my psychiatrist, correct? If so, it says it should be 15 dollars a visit. However, I pay 0 dollars on every statement. I don’t understand why, but okay, luck is on my side lol.

They are trying to raise my insurance so I was going to go to the Kaiser Gold 80 HMO because its about what I pay now and is one tier below what I do now. But idk now if I will all of a sudden be paying a butt ton or not for my visits? It says for the “Mental/Behavioral Health Outpatient Services” it would be 35 under the Gold plan, so maxium it would actually be 35 or less, right? Sorry, I hope this all makes sense. I just want to make sure i’m not going to have to pay any more than 35 and want to know what the discount is. Kaiser outsourced my psychiatry to Beacon Health because they didn’t have enough people to do it or something. Does anyone have insight on any of this? lol My brain hurts.
