Issue with work issued bcbstx health insurance

March 2020 my work (a small business) brought on and offered bcbstx insurance ppo or hmm plans for employees. I signed up then and have been a member through work and our open enrollment every year since then has been march. Well this march 2024, I decided to switch to my spouses works health insurance so I let my work know in January 2024 that this is what I decided to do. My work also decided that they were no longer going to have bcbstx insurance offered and brought in a broker to the business to work with employees individually who did want to continue insurance just between them and a broker, the business no longer involved. So I (and all of the other employees) were suppose to have coverage and had the weekly deductions for insurance taken out of our checks during January -march. Well come the end of march, I see an issue on a claim in February and call bcbs up to try to get it figured out. They then let me know that on March 5th, 2024 they received a letter to terminate our policy on January 1st, 2024 (even though we had active insurance and paying and was able to use it for January and February) So basically the termination letter had the wrong date on it so bcbs went back and backdated and cancelled the policy January 1st, instead of march 1st. So I asked then, okay well what happens with all of the claims that was covered for doctor visits and medication in January and February? and they told me that they are going to recoup all the payments for doctor visits and medications that they covered which means I will owe close to 10,000$. I expressed that the date was wrong and it was suppose to be march 1st, not January 1st and they told me to consult with my HR department or boss. So I went to my boss and explained the situation and they said they would look into getting it fixed and taken care of. Here we are, end of June, and this issue still is not resolved. I have even tried myself to call BCBS and talk to someone and see what needs to be done but they cannot tell me anything because I'm not on the employer account. My boss says that they are calling almost everyday and they keep getting directed to different departments and no one seems to know how to help them. Well today I found out that BCBS sent the company a check back of the policy paid in January and February. Which I am assuming means that they are probably going to start recouping payments soon, as in wanting me to pay up for everything the insurance paid out in January and February. Any advice? Im kind of freaking out a little because obviously I cannot pay 10,000$
