Is this legal ( Health insurance agents unite)
Okay so recently I was contacted by a few guys I used to work life insurance with, long story short our company fell down and everyone split it. to my surprise they were back to business but this time doing health insurance, so I really thought that OK we’re just doing health insurance deals, and I know sometimes the compensation isn’t so pleasant but I was willing to give it a shot either way. To my surprise by coming to my office to see that these people are not essentially selling health. They were calling people that had ACA marketplace plants asking them for verbal consent to make sure the application is in good standing, and then overriding the account and putting their name on it. From what I learned verbal consent is the last thing that makes us OK I’m sure there’s other forms to fill out before overriding another agents clients policy. What do you guys think about this and that I do myself a favor by leaving?
