Is this a scam? I am about to lose my mind with the amount of different people I’m dealing regarding a claim.

So I have CIGNA PPO health insurance but it’s through Pivot Health (group name). I didn’t until recently, but I googled them and it seems…odd.

I have a couple recent pending claims regarding a procedure but it’s only been a month. I’ve had other claims settled like doctor visits, etc. basically just copays.

ANYWAY, recently I got an email from a company called DATAFIED. They’re based in Southern California. Reviews also seem sketch. They attached a PDF autofilled with correct info of a doctors office I go to but that they’re requesting medical records regarding the claim. Their client is Allied National. What the fuck? Why am I dealing with so many different companies regarding a claim and not my actual health insurance? It’s unreal.

I recently got this health plan from some insurance agent I got connected with – it’s a great plan it seems but only recently I realized it’s under this Pivot Health. I’m so concerned why this Datafied needs my information like my NAME, DOB, signature on a .pdf so they can get medical records from last 2 years. Are they trying to steal identity? Verify history to authorize claim?
