Is Dual Insurance Beneficial?

My husband just got a new job and his paperwork for his insurance just came in the mail. We have to decide now if I go on the plan as well. I have insurance through my parents still. We live in Kentucky if it makes a difference.3

Parents plan: premium (I pay nothing), deductible ($1200 ($2400 for the whole family) in network, $2400 ($4800 for the whole family) out of network), out of pocket max ($3500 individual in network, $7000 individual out of network; $7000 family in network, $14,000 family out of network), co insurance is 20% unless out of network then its 40%.

Husband's plan: premium ($118.66 with me, $45.93 without me), deductible ($4900 individual, $9800 family), out of pocket max ($6400 individual, $12800 family), coinsurance is 75%.

There are some other options as well but most of them have a much higher premium and my husband doesn't need much medical care, so he just needs to be covered for the occasional doctor visit and etc.

We are planning on having kids soon, so I'm thinking double coverage would help with hospital bills from birth and etc. Is the extra $72.73 a month worth having double coverage?
