Insurance denied claims because we "changed" policies due to someone committing insurance fraud on our end?

Hey guys,

(Posted this in another thread as well, I could kindly use all the help / advice please).

My mom, dad, and me are using Healthcare.gov, we get insurance through Oscar.
Someone attempted or did some insurance fraud using her information, affecting all of our plans. We had to get our insurance basically “reset”, but our member ID’s and everything stayed the same. We found out about this around June.

Apparently this has been going on since May, or earlier. We’re been seeing doctors since June, claims that were being processed okay are now being “reversed” and being denied, because after the whole “reset” process, according to the insurance, we never had a policy as it technically canged our policy dates.

Spoke to insurance and they said they’re going to look into it. But we’re sitting on thousands of dollars of medical bills, I’m scared to death and can’t even focus on university. My mom / dad don’t even know how to solve fix their own problems, so they can’t even help me with this.

Sorry if I used incorrect terminologies incorrectly. But I am absolutely stressed and worried. Insurance said it should be an easy fix if they can prove we had a policy back then (which we definitely did), but it got switched.

What can I do in the meantime, or what are routes to consider as a backup? I am absolutely stressed and can’t focus.
