Insurance declines test that Cardiologist requests

We have the best health care in the world? I do Not know about that. We have the most expensive that is for sure. Horizon Blue in NJ declined to cover a stress test my cardiologist scheduled for me yesterday and they took two months to let us know. Just one day before the test my doctor and I get the letter declining. They use another company to make the determination. I am sure that adds to the cost of insurance. They said it is not medically necessary. I have a heart condition and had my last test 5 years ago. I guess I have to have chest pains, a heart attack, or something for it to be deemed necessary. The doctor wants to see if there are any changes. So I pay thousands for insurance through my employer and still don’t get what my doctor says I need. He said he will file an appeal or resubmit but it’s just crazy. I have started keeping records of everything the insurance company and its minions send me so if I have some catastrophic evident, my wife has enough to sue For negligence.
