Hey so I recently got scammed by these guys they promised me so much but I stupidly did my research afterwards. Turns out they're major scammers and when I called to cancel they hung up. I kept calling and eventually someone picked up and transferred me to their cancelation department. I gave them my member number but then started asking what my name was. When I asked why they said to verify it was me because of HIPPA. I gave them a fake name and they said yup that's who's associated with the card. They asked for my bday I gave it to them. Then asked me if my email was still fakename@gmail.com and I said yes. The guy then says OK what's your actual email address then. This all indicates they never looked anything up or tried to cancel anything. They then told me to cancel I would have to pay the whole deductible in order to cancel. I refused the guy asked if I was messing with him and wasting his time and he hung up. I did all that because I was scared they would take more from me I canceled my card and all that but I can't remember if I gave them my ssn

Has anyone else fallen for these scammers. Did you give them your SSN? What steps did you take afterwards? I've been scared and on edge for days since then. Really could use something to ease me mentally. Luckily they didn't steal much but it's still so scary. Please be safe and help me please tell me these people just steal money and not information. I'd rather be out some money then have my life ruined by these guys.
