In network vs out of network issue

I work for an insurance company and have their health insurance. They are a part of a global network, and since I am out of state, all my claims go through the global network. One of my providers (who I see monthly) is listed as in network, and is in fact in network. The problem is that the global network (First Health) has an old tax ID for this provider, so the claims have all been out of network.

I have been working with my insurance company for about 7 months now on this issue. In May, I finally got notification that the provider is officially in network, and they they will re-run all the bills through as soon as First Health updates their system. I have called every 2 weeks, and STILL they have not updated their system.

It is about $1700 worth of out of network bills, and the provider is getting antsy and wants their money. How long is too long for this insurance company to take? I canโ€™t call First Health directly, as I am technically not a member of theirs. Is there anything else I can do? Once the bills are run as in network, I will have hit my deductible and then some. This is just taking forever.
