Forgive me if i’m incorrect or say things wrong i’m 22f and not fully sure on how health insurance works. so about two years ago i dropped out of university to go into the workforce . I was under my mom’s insurance for health, vision and dental. My mother works for the county and has county benefits. At the time when i had dropped out of school i was dropped from my mothers Dental and vision plan because the requirement for some reason was to be enrolled in college to keep receiving those benefits (dental and vision ). I maintain my medical insurance until i’m 26. Fast forward to the present day The insurance changed the policy ( being in enrolled in college or not will not interfere with benefits) so i will be added back on for vision and dental as of January 1 2024. But in those two years that i didn’t have dental or vision I got braces in august 2023 and i’ve been paying out of pocket for the maintenance. What im basically asking is since i will be covered starting January for dental will my insurance pay for the maintenance of my braces here on out? I’ve tried to do research online about it and i’m not getting any luck.
