I’m scheduled to have a C-section in 4 weeks, but I just learned that my company is going under.

Hi. I just learned that my company is going under and will unlikely be able to pay the employee's insurance premium for next month. This puts my family in a bind, since I'm due with my third in 4 weeks, so now I'm scrambling to figure out how to have insurance coverage for the remaining prenatal care, delivery, and postnatal care.

Complicating matters is that my husband is planning to switch jobs in a couple months. Since my job offered better insurance coverage, he declined his current employer's policy. We do plan to switch to his new employer's coverage when he starts.

What options do I have? We make too much for Medicaid, so that's out. Does it make sense to temporarily switch to my husband's current employer's plan and then switch once he starts his new position? Does it make sense to go through the exchange? Am I able to just get coverage for me for the next couple months?

I found a plan to cover my maternity care for less than $2k. Just trying to get a sense of what my expectations should be. Thanks.
