I’m paying for my dependents but turns out they’re not in the insurance’s system through fault of my employer.

We continued our medical, dental and vision plans during open enrollment for my daughter, my wife and myself. My wife called the vision and dental departments for information before an appointment and turns out I’m the only one insured for vision and dental. They asked for us to contact HR because problems like this happen all the time where they forget to submit everyone else’s plan information. (Mind you, they’ve been taking away from my paycheck for all three of us for medical, dental and vision.) After many attempts of emailing HR, they said that they’re finally handling it. Two weeks after their response, we call again to double check and nothings changed. Our insurance even said that as soon as my employer updates the plan online, the updates are “live.” So they will immediately see them. And now, I got let go. I’m not sure what to do about the fact that they’ve been taking money out of my paycheck for plans that didn’t exist for my wife and daughter. Really, we’re just hoping to be able to finally schedule the appointments we’ve been trying to schedule. Any guidance on how we can navigate through this? Thanks in advance.
