I’m not eligible, but I can’t get Medicaid to deny me so I can get ACA healthcare. Advice?

I’m not eligible for Medicaid or any the programs related to it, but Medicaid thinks I am currently. I got a renewal application for Medicaid in April which I filled out and later in May got a denial letter. Somehow, I was enrolled again or had another active case that I was not aware of for medicaid after the ACA insurance notified me in July.

The marketplace told me I couldn’t have both so I decided to cancel the ACA care and just send in everything to Medicaid again for them to deny me again.

I’m self employed and apparently Medicaid is not aware of this after I spoke with a representative and they are somehow missing a few other documents despite me mailing everything with my renewal application. I’ve sent them my tax return by mail multiple times and uploaded it to the state assistance website as I was told to by Medicaid to get denied.

I’ve been told they haven’t received these documents and that’s why I haven’t heard anything yet. They offered to cancel the case for me, but I don’t think that is the same as being denied, right?

Simply canceling Medicaid will not open up a special enrollment period, is this correct?

My health isn’t dire right now, should I consider canceling this case anyways and apply in November at the marketplace for ACA insurance?

I’m concerned the market place will think I’m edible for Medicaid again due to me being disabled. My state does have a special Medicaid program for working disabled people, but I’ve checked multiple times and I am certain I do not meet the requirements.

If I did cancel, the marketplace would probably have me apply again for Medicaid anyways, right?

Thanks for any advice offered.
