(I ask for no judgement please, I really just want help so I can get better)

Hello, I am 20 years old, I live in Denver, Colorado and I currently make 18/hr (however, I plan to find a new job within the week, but at most I’ll maybe lost out on $1/hr depending on which job picks up first). I’ve been uninsured since I turned 18, because my parents kicked me off their insurance and gave me absolutely no guidance on getting my own. I decided to just live with it, until recently when I realized I actually have a lot of health issues I need to address ASAP as they’re causing issues in my day to day life (for example, I’m pretty sure I have knock knee and in turn I have knee and leg pain almost daily, makes working hard). I don’t qualify for Medicaid, and so I now have to shop for a plan, and I have no idea how to even start. Insurance policies make no sense to me, and articles on applying for insurance and how to do it are confusing and, to be completely honest, I don’t understand what most of them are trying to say (for context, I’m pretty sure I have some kind of mental disability- not sure what obviously because I haven’t been able to go to the doctor, anyway due to that I find I can’t comprehend anything the articles say. I need it explained to me like a 5 year old)

Anyway, I was hoping that someone could help me out in figuring out what to do, I need something realistically affordable (aka. taking into account that I have other bills and my entire salary isn’t going just to insurance) and something that can work with the possibility of me needing to frequent the doctors and potentially get major surgeries and such.
