I need healthcare sooner than the 45 day approval estimation for Medicaid

Hello. I am very new to healthcare and how it works. Also I am unfamiliar with how Ohio does it’s marketplace/medicaid as I have just moved here 2 days ago.

I recently have been treated for cancer, and had to move back to ohio to be closer to family. I had a plan with BCBS of texas but they only covered me in Texas. With that being said I used marketplace to fill out an app, and it has been sent to medicaid to await approval. From what I read it takes 45 days for approval, and unfortunately I need to be getting to the doctor much sooner than that.

Also my family thinks I am going to get denied because I am in my 20s and have no income. They said I need to make a certain amount to be approved and from what I understand with medicaid that is not true. I think they are confused about the healthcare subsidies.

Is there any way to approved for medicaid faster? I know that sounds like every person who wants healthcare, but I cant help but think there must be some way for people like me who need constant treatment.

thank you all!!
