I have VA benefits but my employer is changing our healthcare and I can’t decide

Hello. I’m having trouble decided what health insurance plan to pick because I don’t really understand how it works. I’m a veteran so I have VA benefits, but not Tricare.

They gave us the option of a HDHP with an HSA that they will contribute $500 annually to, a base plan Copay and a Buy Up Plan Copay.

I’m single and I’m generally good health, I don’t see a doctor often and I don’t have any monthly prescription drugs. I’d like to spend the least amount on healthcare as possible, but with the HDHP it looks like I have to pay a $3,000 deductible for anything besides preventive care. It says “office visit: deductible, 0%” I don’t understand what that means. Lab, X-ray, complex imaging like MRI, urgent care, ER, all say the same. “Deductible, 0%”

I’m sorry I’m completely ignorant to health insurance because I never had it before the military, we didn’t have a choice when I was in the military, and now this is my first time as a civilian having health insurance and I don’t have anyone to talk to about this. Thank you so much for any help getting this dummy to understand any of this.
