I have Ambetter through marketplace and I am having little to no success actually using it. Can I get a refund or switch insurance?

It's $430 a month. No deductible, thought okay, I'll pay extra for this plan and actually get some things off my check list. Need to get a referral from my PCP before seeing a specialist. I called the first 15 PCPs on their list for me, all were either not taking patients, not accepting my insurance, or no longer practiced at the location provided.

So I just called the hospital instead, found a PCP that took my insurance, called Ambetter customer support to confirm this worked AND had customer support switch my PCP to this person (who was not listed in the list I had access to). The appointment was two months out. Waited, had my appointment, got my referral.

I check the website and he is no longer listed as my PCP and there is no record of a referral. Send a message about this, was told he is in network but listed as a specialist not a PCP, so I am getting a charge for visiting a specialist and on top of that, they cannot accept his referrals because he is not my PCP. On top of this, the PCP they reassigned me to, I called, and she doesn't take Ambetter.

I am so beyond frustrated and don't know if I have any choice but to just keep paying $430 a month till the new year or if I can report them or get a refund or anything. Absolutely fuck Ambetter
