I failed to submit my dependents insurance on time

I enrolled my husband and son as dependents for health insurance coverage when I was hired in January 2024. Recently, after receiving a new prescription from our specialist, our pharmacy informed us they could not locate my husband’s insurance information. Upon checking my Workday account, I discovered that the coverage had been changed to employee-only. Upon contacting HR and Employee Health, I learned that a letter had been sent requesting documentation to verify my dependents’ eligibility. Unfortunately, I did not receive this letter. They also sent notice in my work email that I was not able to check on time. My work email can’t be accessed outside work and when I’m at work, I’m always busy working as a RN. I sent the documents needed as soon as I realized my dependents’ insurance are inactive and sent an appeal to reinstate my dependents but they have denied my appeal. Now, I have to pay all the claims since the date of enrollment. I honestly do not know what to do. I’m the only one working in the family because my husband has to take care of our kid with special needs. My kid also had been using my health insurance to cover for his therapies. We are immigrants who arrived here in 2022. I know it’s all my fault but is there any workaround for this?
