I didn’t know my health insurance wouldn’t automatically renew and I lost it, what can I do now?

Hi everyone, I’m (22f) new to this sub but Im hoping you all can help. I live in America (zip code 21236) and I have been on the Kaiser Gold plan (the middle option which is $254 a month I think).

I just got my first individual health insurance plan in June ‘22 and I am new to being on my own plan. I knew there were deadlines for open enrollment, but I didn’t know my health insurance wouldn’t auto renew. I assumed that I only had to do something if I wanted to change my plan, so I didn’t re-enroll or re-apply. I just went to make a doctors appointment and I realized I lost my coverage. When I went to apply, I saw that I need to have gone through something traumatic to get health insurance coverage at this point in time. There’s no “I didn’t know” exception. If there is any advice or information you could offer it would be greatly appreciated. Even if the truth is bleak.

EDIT: to include my age and zip code 2nd EDIT: because I forgot to include plan details
