I broke my arm in an accident and I do not know how much I will pay.

Hi, this is probably gonna be short as I can't write much,

I, a 21 year old if important, live in Texas and I got blue shield insurance HMO, I don't know much about insurance or how it works, so I wanted to ask here

Yesterday I got ran over by a truck while I was in my e-bike, and police told me I was at fault, I was sent to the hospital and I got a broken arm. In the hospital I was also told that I needed to see an specialist to check it out and see if it needs surgery.

In the hospital I asked some staff how much would insurance cover and I was told it usually covers all, but that "usually" left me skeptic. I later called customer service in my insurance and they told me they would cover 70% of it, not all.

I really don't have much money, so that 30% still worries me, so I had the question, will insurance really only cover that 70%? or since it was an accident will they pay for it?

I have the option of getting my arm fixed in another country (Mexico) that while expensive, it isn't as expensive as here in the US. So I was thinking, if insurance won't cover it all, I might ad well go get it fixed in Mexico.

Also, since I move around in my bike, I have no car insurance.

Sorry if it is not enough info, I can add more as needed. Thanks
