I’m an international who just got my first job. Employer doesn’t make any HSA contributions.

These are my plan options and. details I noted down –

Anthem
Higher Deductible HSA
– 2200$ Annually, 80% after deductible
– Somethings are covered before deductible
– Preventative Coverage 100%
– Like Yearly needed doctor checkups
– Can change contribution at anytime, but monthly contribution
– Tax free benefit, gains interest?
– Can buy medical dental or vision needs
– Company doesn’t contribute since I make over a 100k$
– Doctor Visit, typically under 200$ apparently? specialist typically costs a lot more
– 55$ for the premium (biweekly), HSA contribution is apart from that
Low Deductible HSA

– Similar to previous
– 1500$ deductible, 80% covered after deductible
– 107.50$ premium per pay period (biweekly)
Copay Plan
– Deductible 500$, no HSA
– Copays – outside of anything preventative
– Sick visit, 10$, 40$
– 107.50$ premium per pay period (biweekly)
– Set copays for prescriptions
– Generic Drugs are usually 10$, 25$ for generic maintenance drugs (where illness needs regular prescriptions), Speciality or any unnamed drugs -it goes up

What is wise to take here? I’m usually healthy, but I’m planning on taking up MMA lessons and Sword Fighting now that I have time to spare after school. Is it a wiser choice to go copay incase of injuries and the like? That’s what I’m thinking, but would appreciate some thoughts from others. I also have a lot of student debt since school was very expensive.
