How to know I’ll be covered on 6/1 with BlueShield through covered CA?

Lost my insurance, so I applied through Covered California and selected a bronze PPO plan from Blue Shield on Friday. Coverage will be for me and my family.

I hit the Pay Now button and was redirected to the Blue shield website where I entered my card payment. However, I never got a verification email, and my card still has not been charged. If I re-log on to the CoveredCA site, it says my enrollment status is pending. If I hit the pay now button again, it redirects me to the Blue Shield website, but there is no longer an option to pay.

I did find a check status button for Covered CA applicants on the blue shield website, but when I enter my application number and info it says not found.

I seem to be in some sort of insurance purgatory and can’t find any answers. Is this normal, or is something screwed up with my application?

I can try to call Blue Shield on Tuesday (Mon is a holiday), but I’m not sure that they will be able to find my info since the web form wasn’t able to.

Is there anything I’m missing? Im concerned that I (and my family) will not have coverage.
