I have BCBS High performance network insurance which was introduced 2 years ago in our company. In the webinar they had about this plan, they said to check if our doctors are in-network and if they are, then it is a great insurance because premiums are low. There is no out-of-network coverage for this. Since all my doctors were in-network, I chose the plan. That's how they made it sound.

Now I am currently pregnant with my second child. I had some heart palpitations and was referred to a cardiologist thru my OBGYN. I checked if the cardiologist is in network (just in case). They were. So I was fine with it. During the appointment, they put a heart monitor (holter monitor) on me. Now I am getting a bill from the Holter monitor company. It states that it is out of network with my insurance and is asking me to pay the bill. I wasn't informed about this beforehand during the appointment.

Then at 21 weeks, they found a complication and referred me to a High risk obgyn (MFM doctor). This doctor was also in-network. Now a month and half later, I am getting a bill for the urine test and ultrasound I had over there quoting some weird provider name that I had no clue about. I only checked if the doctor is in-network. I have got 1 bill which is 1000s of dollars for this appointment. I had 4 appointments with this doctor in the past month. So this would mean I am going to get more bills.

I am really worried. What should I do? Please help.
