Help! I may have made a mistake:/

I have no idea what I’m doing – I haven’t had insurance for years. I’m (F 39 Florida) staring down the barrel of 40 so I thought I’d get insurance. I talked to an agent (I did get her name and a copy of her insurance license at least) and we talked about a bunch of plans and I qualified for a guaranteed health insurance plan, because I’ve never been sick or hospitalized or anything. So I chose a 70/30 plan that fit my budget and supposedly covered a whole bunch of stuff.

I got the packets in the mail yesterday and now I’m nervous. The insurance is through USHealth, which is a subsidiary of United Healthcare so I feel ok about that, but it’s all underwritten (I think that’s the term) by a company called Southern Consumers Alliance…and when I Google them a whole lot of nothing comes up. So now I’m wondering if it’s legit and if I did the right thing. When I view the pages that say what’s covered and what isn’t there’s a TON of legalese but it seems like one page says “you’re covered!” But then the fine prints says I’m not.

Does anyone have any experience with these companies? On the plus side if it’s junk I can get on my husbands plan in November through his employer.
