Help deciding the best plan for me?

If I am currently uninsured (working part time without benefits and did not secure ACA health insurance during open enrollment) and I need to have surgery before open enrollment next year, can I quit my part time job to join another with benefits to gain health insurance? Do I need to wait til 2023?

(in Tennessee)

After losing coverage from my parents, I simply picked up the bill and continued using the same, which is looking like I can get a better plan now, but I rarely use medical services so I’m kind of overwhelmed.

Right now for non-marketplace I pay $134 a month for:

3k deductible

15k OoP Max

$25 office co-pay and $75 ER Deductible

Co-Insurance: Preventative services 100% covered, other services 80/20

Dental is two routine exams per year.

Looking at the “important” terms, deductible, out of pocket max, co-pay, etc. there are two plans on Healthcare.gov I’m looking at:

Ambetter Focused Silver + Dental: $70/mo after tax credit

No deductible (health and drug combined)

$2,900 out of pocket max

$15 office co-pay, ER visits 50% co-insurance

$1,000 dental coverage per year

2) BlueCross BlueShield S24S: $75/mo after tax credit

Deductible $900 health/$0 drug

$2,100 out of pocket max

$25 office co pay, ER $750 deductible

No dental (no BCBS plans available to me offer Dental)

Honestly, as an ignorant person the Ambetter plan seems to be an obvious choice but I’ve read nothing but negative things about Ambetter, while I’ve read a lot about BCBS being good. Please help push me in the right direction and please ask me anything that might help understand the situation better if I did a poor job above. Thanks.
