Help!!!
This has apparently been going on for over two years. My wifes health insurance is apparently not paying the full in network cost of the anesthesiologist for over 3k. Her health insurance is telling me I only owe them $65, but the anesthesiologist is telling me the health insurance company is refusing to pay more and I owe the difference of the 3k. Wtf!!! Ive paid the deductible and almost the out of pocket max for that year. This was for the epidural for my wifes birth two years ago. The health insurance was charged an in network cost. How can they just not pay it and how can the doctor just straight up charge me the difference. The epidural is a covered cost. What is the point of health insurance when they can just not even pay the claim? I thought it was also illegal for a doctor to go to me asking for money when they’re contracted with the insurance company. Again, the EOB states I only owe them $65. But I dont want this doctor to send 3k to collections.
