Healthfirst says my gallbladder surgery wasn’t medically necessary

I’m really stressed out. I had my first child in September of 2020 and started having gallbladder attacks a month later that left me in excruciating pain. I didn’t know what it was at first and tried to chalk it up to back problems from just having a baby or maybe some problem due to getting an epidural. I finally went to the ER 6 months later and they found gallstones with an enlarged duct, they wanted to do surgery at that time but I had no one to watch my baby and was worried that I wouldn’t be able to lift her. I changed my diet to low fat and managed my pain for over another year but then Thanksgiving weekend 2022 the pain came back with a vengeance and would not stop no matter what I tried to do at home. I felt nauseous and dizzy from the pain. I couldn’t care for my daughter. I went to the ER and they found the same gallbladder issue with an enlarged duct meaning the stones could probably have been stuck or on their way to being stuck. My liver enzymes were high and they admitted me to see what was causing the acute liver injury, whether it was the stones or something else. I finally had the surgery done. My insurance is now saying that it wasn’t medically necessary. I appealed once and they denied it again. I don’t know what to do, I can’t afford a large hospital bill.
