Healthcare Denied. In a pinch with the Podiatrist

So I was enrolled through Select Health but had some issues when the new year came around. They kept requesting to see my tax returns (which I submitted twice.) However, my healthcare never seemed to go active. I called dozens of times and finally was told by the marketplace to “not worry, I have healthcare and we’ll reach out to make sure it’s all good. Go to the doctor.”

So I went to the podiatrist. Lo and behold I receive a bill for $370 and told my healthcare basically didn’t work. At this point I was so damn frustrated with our glorious system that I sought the help of a local healthcare agent and enrolled him as my agent.

He basically told me they never reactivated my healthcare and I didn’t have healthcare and I shit out of luck for the rest of the year. He enrolled me on the cheapest policy with no tax credit at $90/month which I took for f**** sake.

Anyway, I’m still stuck with this $370 bill and trying to figure out a way to go about this. As for now the only thing I can think to do is contact the Podiatrist and tell them the story and ask for help.

Any ideas on how to go about this?
