Health insurance overpaid me so I sent them a check, eight months ago, which they still haven’t cashed

Basically my health insurance company agreed to reimburse me for some out of network appointments (long story). They took a year to pay me back and sent me 2 checks. Only after I cashed both checks did I realize they paid me double what they were supposed to. I considered just holding on to the money until they would figure out what happened and ask me to pay it back, but I didn't want to deal with the hassle for several reasons. So I got in touch with them, they told me where to send the check and I got it in the mail with a short letter explaining the situation, my account info etc.

It has been 8 months. I have called them, emailed them, and even spoken to a higher up administrator. I am tired of needing to keep track of this to make sure my checking account doesn't dip too low. I'm also not even sure they'll be able to cash it after 8 months, but I also don't want to send them ANOTHER check because I can't even imagine the headache if they somehow end up cashing both checks. I don't know what to do at this point.
