Health Insurance, Medicaid / Medicare An Idea
If you are reading this there is a good chance that you have read a lot of posts on these related forums just like a million other people do probably every week.
There are some people on here who are very sincere and spend a huge amount of time helping people. It’s amazing that people help each other and that is truly fantastic.
I have an idea and am curious if you think the idea is good and how it can be accomplished?
The idea: We come here with questions about plans, eligibility, pricing, coverage, who to contact, what forms to fill out and what information to provide. Also we have questions about bills that we receive and many other things.
It just does not make sense to me that we should have to guess or worry if we did things correctly. Probably ninety five percent of people have never read an insurance policy and could not understand the policy even if they had post graduate degrees.
Most sane people don’t want to risk an unnecessary bill or inability to get proper medical care.
Okay, the situations are very unique and the laws vary depending on location, BUT:
ALL of this information should be made readily available and easy to understand by pretty much anybody. The people that currently run the systems have made it clear that even they do not understand the rules.
This is just ridiculous and bad for people as well for the economy.
There should be no ambiguity when it comes to healthcare.
My deepest thanks to the kind people on these forums whose names I don’t mention because they may not appreciate a barrage of questions from people who need to come to social media to ask questions. If you are buying a car or want people’s input on almost any topic then social media is fine. If you want to discuss philosophy, game theory, investments, meme stocks like AMC or GME that is fine.
Healthcare answers should just be available and simple to understand. Not subjective in any way.
Healthcare guessing or hoping that you found the right answer on social media. Really?
We cannot call ourselves a first world country when even the highest staff levels and executives of some Marketplaces don’t understand the laws.
Do you agree? How can this be fixed?
