Health insurance is a scam!! Please help

So I haven’t been to the doctor in 3 years (didn’t have health insurance but turns out it’s useless anyway) I finally went for a wellness preventative check up at the office my husband goes to because they take him and he has Aetna and there’s never issues. I give my insurance card to the lady at the front and they didn’t say they did not accept my Aetna insurance so they checked me in. Today I login to my Aetna account and it says my provider is out of network!!! I am confused because I was told that office accepts Aetna. I do some further research and I find out they do not accept Aetna with HCA. Now my plan doesn’t want to pay for a preventative check or immunizations!!! They are trying to bill me 1500! I feel stupid and like I’ve been scammed. I know I probably should have looked into it more but I am young this is my first time setting up a doctor on my own. My father in law says when I get the bill I can fight the office to reduce the fee. I have really bad anxiety and I’m freaking out right now is there anything I can do????
