Health insurance for a young family

To start, I (M26) work for a small construction company making $90K per year. My wife (F26) is an RN, she currently works part time PRN (no health benefits). Last week we had our first child which is why she is only working part time. We want to avoid putting our baby in daycare so my wife works on the weekends twice a month. Quality of life while raising our child is a high priority. Our combined income at the end of 2024 will probably be ~120K.

My company offers BCBS coverage and pays $600 monthly toward the premium. Right now with only my wife and I on the plan we are paying $716 monthly out-of-pocket. Once we add the baby to our plan that will increase to $1260, which is not ideal for us. I'm sure the 2025 plans will be even higher.

Is our current situation the best we are going to get or is there any hope in getting insurance privately? I've thought about having the baby and myself only on the current plan as that would drop the monthly cost to $632, but I'm unsure of what to do about my wife's insurance. We are both healthy and I really just want good coverage for the baby.

What are your suggestions?
